Last year, the International Graffiti Festivval took place in Timisoara hosting 73 participating graffers. The well over 100 works with surfaces ranging between 5 and 150 square meters are concentrated in 10 locations across the city. Regarded as a whole, those works become a collective declaration, a new vision of the urban landscape of the town.The international feature basically allowed open communication between graffers, offering the people an argument to legitimize this ephemeral form of art that undoubtedly belongs to the cultural heritage. This innovative and unique event opens a new international perspective, an amplification of the cultural and asrtistic life of our city in the spirit of the concept "Timisoara Open Art City". The 2012's edition aims the production of some representative street art works on great and visible surfaces, using as an exemple the successful experience of Philadelphia or Berlin. A collaboration with the city of Frankfurt is planned.
This year the Festival transforms itself in an Street Art Festival and takes place between 10 - 16.09.2012
